    • Added vending machine destroy stages and sound effects when punching the machine in the opening scene.

    • Added debris-destroy-effect animation.
    • Added flash when debris gets hit.
    • Added score popup and animation when debris is hit.
    • Added sound when vending machine hits walls.

Dev Comments:

  • I watched the talk “The art of screenshake” by Jan Willem Nijman and applied some of the principles that were missing to the game. This should give the game more polish and a better feel.
  • During the game jam Fajoo cranked out so many sprites and animations, which I did not have the time to implement during the weekend. This update adds most of the missing assets created during the jam.
  • The game was further adjusted to address issues found during playtesting:
    • Players sometimes still mashed when the gameplay was finished thus skipping through the menu directly into the next round. A delay for the input to start the next round was added to address this issue.
    • Players sometimes ignored the opening cutscene and immediately began adjusting their hands to the input instructions on screen. To address this issue, the instructions will be displayed when the gameplay starts. This only applies to the first round.

I hope you enjoy this update for Minor Inconvenience.

Regards,
